artsdepot Artists Workshop: Working with Communities

Learn how Lila Dance make work with and for communities in this interactive online workshop with Lila Dance’s Co-Artistic Director Carrie Whitaker.

The workshop will include an exploration of Lila’s approaches and ethos for delivering dance experiences in and for the community.  

You’ll have an opportunity to take part in a series of micro practical tasks and engage in discussion to feed your own practices.  

Discussion points will include: 
Scaling strategies 
Language, imagery and imagination 
Camaraderie and investment 
Process vs product

Running time: 1 hour 30 mins
Pay What You Decide: £9 | £6 | £3 | FREE

Here’s how you access the workshop online: 

1. We’ll send you the Zoom ID and password 1 hour before the workshop via email. 
2. Make sure you have a device with Zoom downloaded and you’ve created a FREE account.
3. When it’s time for the workshop to start, log into your Zoom account, input the meeting ID and password, turn on your audio and video camera and wait in the ‘waiting room’ until the host lets you in.

artsdepot will aim to work with a BSL interpreter for this session.  

If anyone requires a breakdown of session timings we can send that through. 

If people need to take a break they are free to do so and if they wish to / need to move around during the session that is absolutely fine by us!
